Ryan Kirschman is a 2016 SS/2B with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Ankeny, IA who attends Ankeny. Medium, athletic frame. Projects for additional build and strength. Right handed hitter with a slightly open, balanced stance. Swing hard with intent. Shows hard line drive contact and a compact bat path with a mid-field approach. Shows some present pop with plus extention to pull side. Moves into contact with a stride that will close off the stance at times. Over swings at times and loses barrel control in the zone. Projectable hitting tools with future strength. Workout of defensively from the infield. Shows athletic actions with range to both sides with smooth funneling glove work. Smooth glove to hand transitions into throw. Tends to stop momentum and shows a long stride to the bag while throwing uphill. Topped at 73 mph across the infield. Good student.
