Teddy Washington is a 2018 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from St. Louis, MO who attends St. Louis University HS. Long armed athletic build, projects well physically. Works from the third base side of the runner with a big cross body delivery, extended 3/4's arm slot with lots of extension out front. Fastball topped out at 80 mph, fastball velocity plays up due to extension and deception and it got on hitters quickly. Fastball has good running life arm side but outstanding cutting action mid plate and glove side, some cutters have true slider depth. Creates good spin on his curveball and has a feel for throwing for strikes, pulls the string on it well when hitters are geared up for the fastball. Interesting southpaw due to his projection and all the life on his pitches. Right handed hitter, coiled upper body load from a spread stance with a limited shift into contact, loose extended swing with some lift and bat speed, middle of the field approach. Good student.
