Carlos A. Espinosa is a 2016 SS/2B with a 5-6 160 lb. frame from Yonkers, NY who attends Iona Prep. Short compact build, has some present strength. 7.04 runner, circles the ball well and has quick feet defensively, fields the ball out front with a quick transfer and release, smooth overall actions, can really get rid of the ball quickly, second base arm strength and profile, has middle infield actions and athleticism. Switch hitter, shows better bat speed and strength at contact right handed, looks to be a young left handed hitter, can drive the ball to the LCF gap right handed with a short and simple line drive swing. Nice all around player.
