Christopher Klein is a 2019 3B/OF, 1B with a 5-10 210 lb. frame from Brooklyn, NY who attends Poly Prep Country Day. Medium frame with strong present build; very strong throughout body. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.43 seconds. Sets up to hit from wide-based stance with high hands and back elbow, big leg kick trigger, swings the bat hard with good intent and strength, stays committed to the middle of the field and hit some ropes back through the box. Worked out in the infield, shows good first step to both sides, gets in good position to throw and makes accurate throws across with strong arm, clocked up to 84 MPH. Pitched as well, exclusively from the stretch, stays balanced and compact through delivery. Throws from high three quarters arm slot, fastball worked 76-78 MPH with good downhill plane. Curveball had 10/4 shape with good sweeping shape and break, did a good job throwing strikes and challenging hitters with both pitches. Very good student.
