2016 Atlantic Coast Underclass Showcase
Cameron Kennedy is a 2020 C/OF, RHP with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Graham, NC who attends Chatham Charter High School. Medium build and frame, athleticism, and room to continue to fill out physically and add strength. Posted a 7.64 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, clean release out of the hand, whippy arm action, and developing lower half mechanics. Posted a workout pop time of 2.22. At the plate, started with an open stance, narrow base, high hand set, and a leg lift timing mechanism. Worked with an all fields approach at the plate with quick hands and developing bat speed. Line drive swing plane with limited lower half and a direct to ball approach. Will continue to improve with additional lower half in swing. Also pitched, medium leg raise and kick out, short, compact arm action, and threw from a high three quarter arm slot. Short sink to fastball that worked 69-71/72 mph. Curveball with big depth and developing spin in the upper 50's.
