Connor Fitzsimmons is a 2016 C with a 5-9 220 lb. frame from Sussex, NJ who attends Vernon. Strong, broad shoulder build with nice present strength throughout frame. Primary catcher, receives the ball out front, short arm action on throws and gains some ground with lower half, throws show carry and accuracy to second base, arm strength will continue to develop. Right-handed hitter, starts with an upright and square stance in the box. Short and compact swing to the ball, consistent line drive contact with occasional lift. Stays short and shows a nice feel for the barrel. Quick hands on inner half pitches, occasionally opens front hip early but stays on pitches well and creates consistent contact to the middle and pull side parts of the field.
