Zach Barbash is a 2024 C/OF with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Mount Laurel, NJ who attends Lenape. Recorded a 7.44 second sixty-yard dash time. Medium, athletic looking frame with plenty of time and room to physically mature. Primary catcher that receives from a low, side-saddle stance with soft hands and quick, direct mid-line transfers. Gained ground out of the crouch towards his target, stayed on-line with his movements into release. Recorded online, accurate throws up to 71 mph from behind the dish during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from a slightly open stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and hanging leg lift trigger. Incorporates lower well to create torque and plenty of present bat speed. Whole field approach with some feel for the barrel and developing gap-to-gap power potential, will continue to improve with minor adjustments to his swing path and additional strength. Solid, young prospect with upside on both sides of the baseball. Good Student.
