Blake Beagle is a 2017 OF/SS/RHP with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Pleasant Hill, MO who attends Pleasant Hill HS. Medium frame. Medium build. Body projects for additional size and strength. Right handed hitter with a slightly open, narrow stance. Big leg lift and stride with linear lower half mechanics to contact. Turns barrel to contact with a compact swing path and some natural lift. BP and game approach were consistent with a gap to gap approach that resulted in rising line drives. Works out defensively from the outfield. Closes quickly to baseball while generating good momentum through transition into throws. High energy release with low throws to bag and developing accuracy, topped at 85 mph. Fast actions to and through baseball. Fundamentally sound through transition and release when tempo is smooth. Good student. Named to 2016 National Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
