Dripping Springs, Texas

June 6-7, 2026

DRIPPING SPRINGS, TX- The weather was nice, the Longhorns JUST won a national championship, and Perfect Game brought it’s first softball event to Dripping Springs. It was a weekend packed with college coaches, quality softball, and a great softball atmosphere. Over the course of the six-game guarantee event, our scout saw some amazing athletes. Below she highlights some of the athletes who caught her eye.

Destiny Sidiropoulos (2028, Houston, TX) of the Impact Gold HTX 16U was an incredible spark plug at the top of their lineup all weekend. She is a true triple threat who has great speed on the basepaths. She can soft and power slap, drop a sneaky bunt, and hit away with pop. Her barrel control is next level, and she is fun to watch pick apart defenses. On defense, she is versatile and athletic. She gets great reads on balls and a quick first step. She is capable of making the big diving plays as well as being consistent during the routine outs as well. We saw her dominate the middle infield, keeping her team in games. Keep your eye on this athlete. She is capable of some big things at the next level.

Trinity Prevost (2028, Klein, TX) of the Texas Bombers HTX Gold-Frank was impressive on both sides of the ball last weekend. She held down shortstop on the weekend and made some ridiculous plays. She has the talent of making everything look easy on defense because she moves so smoothly. She shows off great range and a strong arm and overall great athleticism on defense. Offensively, she is dynamic and a difficult out. She has the ability to drop a sneaky bunt and use her speed to beat it out and she also has some solid pop in her barrel. Once she gets on base, watch out because she will use her wheels. Overall, Trinity is one of the purest athletes on the field and she still has so much growth ahead of her.

Emily Gonzales (2028, Laporte, TX) of the Impact Gold HTX 16U is a phenomenal middle infielder and versatile offensive producer. When batting, this right-handed hitter is scrappy in the box. She makes pitchers work, taking them deep into counts and showing off her fantastic hand eye coordination. She has great barrel control and lets the ball travel well. Defensively, Emily has a smooth approach to the ball and solid glove work. Her transfers are quick and efficient, and she has a short, compact release when throwing. We loved her range, and she does a great job on her drop steps and angles on balls over her head. She continues to impress, and we look forward to following her continued growth!

Maya Wortham (2029, Calvert, TX) of the American Freedom Brazos Valley Gold was an impressive force both at the plate and on defense last weekend. In center field Maya utilizes a great drop step and solid angles. She has great range and gets rid of the ball quickly with a strong and accurate arm. Offensively, Maya makes consistent contact and uses a strong back side fire to generate some good barrel whip. She provides great pop and is a smart and fast baserunner. She is a fun athlete to watch and has a ton of potential in the future!

Sabrina Phillips (2028, Leander, TX) of the Texas Blaze ATX National proved to be a consistent and clutch hitter for her squad last weekend. Not only did she finish the weekend batting well over .500, but she was also a high RBI producer. She is a strong athlete who has an athletic stance and swing. Her hands take a short and efficient path to the ball and she showed great contact point awareness. Her ability to drive the ball to all fields is impressive and we believe she has a ton of potential. We look forward to seeing her continued growth.

Cylee Thomas (2028, College Station, TX) of the American Freedom Brazos Valley Gold stepped up big time for her team last weekend both in the circle and with he4r bat. On the mound, this right-handed pitcher uses a great round of curve, backdoor curve, and changeup. She threw a lot of great innings for her squad and her presence on the mound was steady and confident. Offensively, Cylee packs a punch. She has next level barrel whip and a solid swing. We can see her being an impact hitter at the next level.

MCKYNLEE MERCHANT (2029, Conroe, TX) of the Texas Bombers HTX Gold-Frank put on a display last weekend. She showcased next level range and fielding ability in center field. She gets a quick first step and reads the ball off the bat well. Her arm is strong and accurate, and she does a great job getting her body behind the ball to help make even stronger throws. Offensively, she can be seen dropping dirty bunts and driving the ball hard. Her athleticism is very obvious in everything she does, and she is a true spark in the lineup and on defense. She is young but insanely talented with a huge upside. Keep your eye on this athlete because we see big things in store for her.

One word comes to mind when thinking of Je'Neiya Russell-Dukes (2027, Harker Heights, TX) of the Swarm Gold CTX, and that word is power. She is built strong and uses that strength in all parts of her game. At 3rd base, she stays down on the ball and does a great job staying in her legs to fire a strong throw across the field. Offensively, she uses a violent back side fire to generate great barrel whip and speed. She is balanced in her swing, has a good eye at the plate, and can drive the ball to all fields. She was a consistent and effective offensive producer for her squad last weekend and we are excited to see more from this athlete.

Briley Smith (2029, College Station, TX) of the American Freedom Brazos Valley Gold was one of the most consistent offensive threats last weekend. She finished the tournament batting just under .600 and used her full array of triple threat abilities. She is a versatile athlete who can almost play any defensive position and she is also an energetic spark plug for her team. She brings the energy and confidence to the field every time we see her play and we can’t wait to see how she continues to grow.

Jenna May (2029, Hutto, TX) of the Texas Blaze CTX 16U Vogan was one of the more impressive pitchers this past weekend. In an offensive heavy tournament, May put up some great numbers and impressed out scout. This left-handed pitcher sits around 60-61mph consistently with her changeup sitting about 10 mph slower. She throws a solid mix of riseball, screwball, fastball, dropball, and changeup that we saw. She pounds the zone and ixes both sides of the plate well. Her screwball was incredibly effective on right-handed batters. She also contributed offensively, batting .300 on the weekend with multiple extra base hits.

Brenley Kelso (2027, Salado, TX) of the Swarm Gold CTX was a strong and consistent offensive producer for her team this past weekend. This right-handed hitter has a small load and simple approach, but still generates a good amount of whip and pop. She does a great job letting the ball travel and drives it where it’s pitched. Her barrel gets behind the ball rather than around it and the result is hard hits up the middle. She is balanced throughout her swing and she finished her weekend batting .500 with two doubles and two triples. She drove in five runs for her team, making her one of the standouts of the lineup.

Molley Taisler (2028, Holland, TX) of the Swarm Gold CTX was an impressive two-way player on the weekend. Offensively, this left-handed hitter did a phenomenal job hitting the ball where it’s pitched. She starts in an open position and closes off nicely and utilizes a strong front side resistance. She took two outside pitches to the left-center gap for extra base hits. She has great barrel pop and her bat path is short and efficient. On the mound, she sits in the mid 50’s and is effective on both sides of the strike zone. She averages about a strikeout an inning and uses an effective mix of moving pitches to keep batters off balance. She has an athletic motion and a ton of potential for continued growth in the circle.

Brynnly Pinkston (2028, Georgetown, TX) of the Firecrackers CTX Norton was an impressive force on both sides of the ball. Offensively, this left-handed hitter brings massive barrel pop and quick hands to the table. She is built strong and knows how to use her body to create massive power. She has great contact point awareness and shows she can effectively drive the ball to all fields with authority. Behind the plate, this catcher interacts with her pitchers well and exudes confidence. She has next level glove and framing skills and solid arm strength. Overall, she is a steady and solid presence in all parts of her game and was really fun to watch. We see big things in store for this athlete.

In a championship game that featured strong pitching and sharp defense from both sides, West Coast Ghost AZ 16U pulled away late to defeat Overfly 2028, 5-3, and claim the Arizona All-State Games title. “We had discipline at the plate, on the mound, out in the field; everyone just did their thing. It was good,” said Cash Carmichael The two teams traded runs throughout the 1st and 2nd innings, making it 3-2. Followed by a single run scored at the top of the 4th by Overfly 2028, it remained tied 3-3 for most of the game. Both defenses made key plays to limit scoring opportunities, turning potential rallies into outs and keeping the pressure high in every inning. With the game deadlocked heading into the bottom of the sixth, West Coast Ghost AZ finally broke through. Bottom of the 6th, J. Haizen Reidhead recorded a single, Oren Tucker walked, and Josiah Shim was hit by pitch....

Weather Can't Delay Top Tier Victory

Alyssa Golden
Article Image
A seven-run first inning gave Top Tier Roos American Red 2027 all the momentum they needed Sunday morning, but the road to a Florida World Series championship was far from straightforward.  After jumping out to an early lead against WBC 17u, Top Tier endured a 3 ½-hour rain delay before returning to finish off a 9-1 victory at Lee Health Sports Complex.  The championship game, which began at 8 a.m. and did not conclude until nearly 1 p.m., ended in the bottom of the fifth inning under Perfect Game’s mercy-rule format. Top Tier’s dominant performance was powered by a complete-game effort from Christian Davis and an offense that erupted for seven runs in the first inning.  Not even hours of uncertainty and lightning delays could keep Top Tier from finishing what they started.  Davis started on the mound for Top Tier and remained the entire five...

West Coast Summer Breakout Hopefuls

Joey Cohen
Article Image
With summer ball ramping up, the priority follow lists from our scouting staff start to take shape and every year a handful of intriguing names outside the national spotlight begin to separate. Digging deeper into the West region, there’s a group of prospects currently buried outside the Top 200 who carry real breakout and helium potential over the next few months. All 10 players featured here are coming off strong high school seasons and bring traits that evaluators tend to bet on whether it’s projectable/athletic bodies, strong secondary stuff, or flashes of impact tools. They may not be household names just yet, but the ingredients are there for significant jumps by the end of the summer circuit. Don’t be surprised if several of these names are firmly in the mix and climbing up early boards in a hurry before the fall rolls around. Two innings of work here from Jonah...

Steve Fiorindo
Article Image
Nash McCarthy (2030, Camas, WA) was outstanding in his start on day two of the UBC West for NW Baum Bat, working six-innings allowing four-hits, no walks and struck out seven.  Standing at 6-foot, 170-pounds with athleticism and room to add.  Effortless mover down the bump with a low effort, up-tempo operation that produced a fastball that was up to 84.  He showed feel for the secondary offerings mixing in a firm breaking ball at 71-74 with 11-5 shape with depth.  Controlled the zone and the tempo throughout the outing, moving the ball around to all four-quadrants.  Projectable arm speed with advanced feel for the spin and strike zone.  Dylan D'Oyen (2030, Cerritos, CA) got the start for 5 Star 2030 in their opening game of the tournament and impressed over six innings of work.  Athletic mover down the mound with balance and repeats the delivery. ...

UBC South Scout Notes: Days 1-2

Perfect Game Staff

Quintin Blackwell (2030, Hercules, California) has, literally, been unstoppable this weekend for Premier Banditos Deleon. In six plate appearances, he has a walk and five hits. Doing it all with a double and two triples, while stealing three bags. Plenty of coil on the front side. Hands work through zone and the barrel stays on plane for a long time. High upside bat that makes an already deep Banditos lineup even deeper. Kenson Buth (2027, Trophy Club, Texas) has been an absolute weapon on both ends for Stix 2027 Scout. At the plate, he’s 6-9 with two doubles, a triple, and a home run. Linear approach with a ton of bat speed. Plenty of impact at the bottom of the zone and showing some ability to do serious damage in the middle of the field. On the mound, he went four quality innings, punching out three. The fastball lived 86-90 with carry. Good feel for the slider in the mid 70s....

WWBA East Scout Notes: Days 1-2

Perfect Game Staff

Sawyer Pettit (‘27 MS) Has shown extremely well to start the summer of 2026. Its a physical left-handed hitting corner profile with big muscle mass. Will pass the eye test off the bus at the next level. The swing is clean with controlled violence and big in-air power that has shown up frequently. Good mover for the size and plays the game hard. Candidate for a big frosh season at LSU-Eunice in 2028. Keviyun McQueen (‘27 MS) Pair of barrels tied together here. Innate feel to hit with fast hands. Line drive approach that gets to pull side power in the air. Excellent athlete that will stick at a premium spot. #LaTech commit.#WWBAEast pic.twitter.com/xeintVTMil — PG Deep South (@PG_DeepSouth) June 12, 2026 Keviyun McQueen (‘27 MS) The Louisiana Tech commit just does not stop hitting. 13/14u PG Elite Scout Notes: Days 3-5

Perfect Game Staff
Article Image
13u & 14u PG Elite Scout Notes: Days 1-2 Tucker Richardson (2030, Mobile, Ala.) has already made a name for himself and he continued to play at the expected high level during his time in Hoover, finishing the tournament with a robust .700 average, collecting at least one base hit in each of his team’s games. Now the No. 10 ranked prospect in the country, Richardson more than once showed the ability to read and react to spin out of the pitcher’s hand, barreling up baseballs for a couple of his hits on the tournament. As much as the bat stands out, the defensive actions in the dirt are even better as he’s arguably the best defender in the class, making the most difficult plays look routing, including one where he charged hard on a slow roller with momentum taking him towards the third base dugout but thanks to the big arm, he was able to make the play look second...
