2023 PG Softball Oklahoma City Scouting Combine
Sofia Gonzalez is a 2029 RHP/2B from Cibolo, TX who attends Antonian College Prep. Sofia is a young up and coming athlete who showcased very well at our Oklahoma City Combine this summer. She is an athlete that not only has the ability to shut teams down on the mound, but has the ability to play multiple positions and add some value offensively with her bat. On the mound she throws a fastball, change up, curveball and riseball. Does a great job of hitting her location on her pitches. Her riseball is a good compliment pitch, she does a great job keeping her body behind the ball. Overall she has a good solid foundation built and as she continues to work on her posture and leg drive she will continue to see her power numbers increase. On the opposite side of the ball, she is a right handed power hitter who has great barrel speed. She is a very powerful athlete with good pop to the ball. As she continues to work on her tilt in her swing to help with her balance she will continue to see her power increase offensively. Overall she has lot of upside offensively as well. Sofia is a athlete who has a bright future if she continues on this track that she is on. She is a young athlete with a very energetic presence on the field. I am excited to continue to watch her grow and develop.
