Michael Marrone is a 2008 MIF/OF/C with a 5'8'', 150 lb. frame from Pleasantville, NY who attends Pleasantville HS. He has a short, compact build with some present strength. Marrone has a contact approach offensively with a short swing that works the ball around the field. He has good hand strength and could develop some more ability to drive the ball by getting his lower half into his swing and developing some leverage at contact. Marrone listed himself as a primary outfielder but took drills in the infield and profiles strongly to second base. He has the same sort of actions defensively in the infield as he does at the plate; his hands work well but he does little with his lower half to flow through the ball or add power to his throws. Marrone did show an accurate arm and got rid of the ball quickly. He played hard and enjoyed himself on the field. Marrone is a very good student.

Michael Marrone is a 2008 MIF/C/OF/P with a 5'7'', 142 lb. frame from Pleasantville NY, who attends Pleasantville. Marrone has a smaller frame with a compact body. Defensively, Marrone gets to the ball well and plays through the ball well. His feet work well and he stays low through the ball. Marrone has devleoping arm strength and has good hands. At the plate, Marrone starts with a medium width base and lunges at the ball some. He swings on a line drive path and makes consistent contact. Presently Marrone hits for line drive pop but could develop some gap to gap pop as he fills out and learns how to keep his weight more balanced. He looks to keep his hands inside the baseball and has a pretty good swing. Marrone pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot with a short arm action, He has a loose arm and changes speeds well. Marrone throws a nice 12/6 curveball with nice spin and depth. He is a very good student.
