Daniel Foltz is a 2007 RHP from Key West HS in Key West, FL with a 6'2", 175 lb. frame. Daniel has a lean athletic build on the mound and plays for one of the top high school baseball programs in the country. He has a long smooth arm action from a 3/4 release point and produces solid run and sink on his fastball. Mechanically Daniel has a slow deliberate delivery and has fairly clean mechanics. Daniel throws a slider with a small break to it, which could tighten up some to become a solid pitch. He is around the strike zone with his pitches and just needs to develop his off-speed pitches more to become more effective on the mound. Daniel is a good student with good upside on the baseball field and should be a mid-level Division I college prospect.

Daniel Foltz is a 2007 RHP/3B from Key West in Key West, FL, with a 6'2'', 165 lb. frame. He has a slender, projectable build that is gradually gaining strength. Foltz has an easy, balanced delivery with a loose, free arm. He could use his lower body and legs a bit more and throws a bit cross body on release. Foltz's fastball was 81-83 mph and slowly inches up in velocity each time we see him. He had a 65-67 mph curveball that flashed good spin and bite at times. Foltz has a very good idea of how to pitch and spotted his pitches where he wanted to. A change up would be a nice addition given his ability to get ahead in the count with his fastball and curveball. We're looking forward to seeing Foltz continue to improve in the future. He's a good follow. Foltz is also an excellent student.

Foltz is a 6-2, 165 lb junior right handed pitcher from Key West with a projectable pitcher's body. He has a long, smooth arm action and solid pitching mechanics. Foltz shows good running action on a 2-seam fastball that reaches 81 mph and the same release point and action on a 74 mph change up and he keeps both pitches down in the strike zone. His breaking pitch is a 74 mph slider that has good spin when he stays on top of it. Foltz is a developing young pitcher with a nice body and projectable pitching tools and he should continue to improve. He's also a very good student.

Daniel Foltz -- Foltz is a young freshman third baseman with a long, slender build. He really hasn’t started to physically mature yet and this affects his bat the most. Foltz hits from a narrow stance with little load or stride and drops his hands at first movement, creating a loop in his swing. When he gets stronger, he’ll be able to get the wood bat going without the loop. Foltz ran very well for a 15 year old and showed some arm strength from third base. He is an easy projection to a very high level.
