Colton Stock is a 2007 C/2B from Rockhurst in Kansas City, MO, with a 5'10'', 155 lb. frame. Colton has good quickness behind the plate and works hard. He has improved his release since the last time we've seen him and it shows he's been putting in a good effort to improve. Colton is a switch hitter who makes good contact from both sides. He has good balance and uses a knee lift trigger to start his swing. Colton has a line drive swing path and centers the ball well from both sides of the plate. He has bat speed and will go up in the zone and get the ball. Colton has pop in his bat and has the ability to hit the ball to the opposite field on a consistent basis. Colton is a very good student with high test scores.

Colton Stock is a 2007 catcher from Kansas City, Missouri, with a 5'9", 145 lb. frame. Defensively he has good blocking skills with nice hands, quick actions, and he moves well laterally to both sides. Stock has quick feet on his throws down to second base with a smooth transfer. He is a switch hitter with an advanced and polished approach at the plate. He has quiet hands with a good set up. Stock has very good balance in his swing from both sides with good bat speed. He has a very short bat path from both sides, and shows a little more strength in his swing from the right side. Stock has a line drive swing plane, and can hit balls in all parts of the strike zone. He is still developing strength in his swing, but his hitting mechanics are very advanced and he looks to be a true switch hitter who will always hit. He also appears to be a hard worker, and shows a good knowledge of the game. He's a good 07 prospect and a very good student.

Colton Stock is a 2007 C/2B from Kansas City, Missouri, with a lean build at 5'10", 145 pounds. He has good balance behind the plate, and receives the ball with soft hands. He is mechanically sound, and has a good feel for the position. He has a good arm action, and a quick transfer behind the plate as well. Offensively, he is a switch hitter with a good approach from the right hand side. He loads early and gets into a good launch position. He has a long, high finish and showed good pop. From the left side he has a balanced approach, and it will develop into a solid skill as he gets stronger. He showed a lot of heart, and has passion for the game. Colton is a good student, and is very young with solid developing skills. He will get stronger and mature into a high college prospect.

Colton Stock: Stock is a small and very young looking freshman catcher from Kansas City. It’s obvious that this kid plays a lot of baseball and works hard at the game. Stock has polished actions and some maturity to his skills. You’d think that someone this young would struggle with the speed of the game with older players but Stock took some good hacks against Eric Cordier’s 91 mph fastball and received high 80’s pitches behind the plate with balance and confidence. Stock is a switch-hitter with two different approaches. From the right side he hits from a very open stance that he never completely closes and has a short, quick swing and makes good contact. From the left side, Stock gets out on his front side much quicker and is a bit longer to the ball but more directional. Stock showed good compact actions on his throwing and developing arm strength. Colton is a good student. This young guy has a very big future in baseball. He can absolutely play the game. All he has to do is keep working and get bigger. Every scout in CR loved his game and his attitude!
