Jeremy Muse is a 2008 MIF/P/OF/3B with a 5'7'', 180 lb. frame from Wakeforest, NC who attends Wakeforest - Rolesville HS. He has a strong and compact build with a thick lower half. Muse is an aggressive hitter who attacks pitches well. He tends to fall off the plate on contact but showed the ability to make solid mid field contact on most pitches and occasionally pull inside pitches hard. He has some strength in his hands and was able to handle the bat head and make good contact. His bat is his best tool. Where Muse plays defensively is a question; he has good hand actions on ground balls but he doesn't have the release or arm strength for the middle infield, nor the range/quickness. Third base is the reasonable alternative. Muse also pitched and threw 75-77 mph on his fastball. He has a pause at the top of his delivery for deception and threw a downer curveball that had consistent spin to it. He also dropped down a few times on a low 3/4's knuckleball. Muse competed hard, enjoyed playing and is maximizing his tools potential. He is a good student

Jeremy Muse is a 2008 2B/RHP from Wake Forest-Rolesville HS in Wake Forest, NC with a 5'6", 175 lb. frame. Jeremy has a short athletic build and had a solid workout at the showcase. At the plate Jeremy has a short quick swing that produces consistent line-drive contact. He has a highly efficient approach at the plate that looks like it works really well for him. In the field Jeremy shows nice balance and has very nice second base tools. His height might make second base his best option at this point. On the mound Jeremy throws from an OH arm slot with a short compact arm action. He is a max effort pitcher that has a good feel for his fastball and knows how to use his off-speed pitches well. Sometimes he seems to be in a little bit of a rush, but he should be a very effective high school pitcher. Jeremy is the type of player that will attract the attention of many-mid level colleges looking for a steady second baseman.
