David Putman is a 2008 RHP with a 6'2'', 200 lb. frame from Doylestown, PA who attends Hun School. He has a strong, mature build with square shoulders and solid thickness in his lower half. Putnam has a long and whippy arm action and a high 3/4 release from a balanced delivery. His best pitch was a curveball to 77 mph that had very sharp and late downer break and good depth in the strike zone. His fastball was 87-90 with good downward plane to the plate and some arm side run. He also threw a 78 mph change up. Putnam had a polished approach on the mound and threw strikes and his curveball is a put-away pitch. He doesn't project much but his present tools and skills are very good. He is a very good student.

David Putman is a 2008 RHP/1B/3B with a 6'1", 175 lb frame from Doylestown, PA who attends Hun HS. David has a lean athletic build and showed big-time potential on the mound. He throws with a low effort delivery from a 3/4 arm slot and the ball really seems to jump out of his hand. David has very good arm speed and he gets nice run on his fastball. His delivery is clean and he shows a big-time 11 to 5 curveball. His curveball can be nearly unhittable at times and has big-time downward action. David has very good pitchability and it is easy to see more velocity on the way. At the plate David has good present strength and shows good gap to gap pop. David is a solid student that will be a highest-level college prospect in the next year and could get some attention from some MLB scouts if his velocity keeps climbing.
