Good infield actions, quick feet and some range, nice arm strength, gets rid of ball smoothly, works thru ball well. Left handed hitter, line drive swing, occ lift from shoulder dip, some bat speed, looks to pull, shows some pop at times. Also pitched, FB to 80 mph, good running action, CB has good spin and hard bite, threw both pitches for strikes. Nice all around player. Good student.

Mitch Plourde is a 2010 SS/P from Ellington, Connecticut, with a lean and athletic 5'7"/140 pound frame. Mitch hits from a straight stance with high hands and a high back elbow. He has good bat speed and uses the whole field. Plourde makes consistent hard line drive contact and gets down the line well. He has athletic actions in the infield with good feet and solid range. Mitch has good hands defensively and an accurate arm at 69 mph. On the mound, he pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with long arm action. He stays around the zone with his 72 mph fastball and his curveball is a good mix at 61 mph.
