Josh Fretz is a 2007 C from East Paulding HS in Acworth, GA with a 6'0", 175 lb. frame. Josh has an athletic build and runs well for his position with a 7.41 60-yard time. At the plate Josh hits from an open stance and has some present strength in his swing. He has a tendency to wrap his bat some, which was indicative that his best contact was to right field. He could drive the ball harder consistently if he has his hands set earlier. Defensively Josh had one of the better pop times of 2.03. He doesn't have huge arm strength, but he makes up for it with accuracy and a solid release. Josh looks to be a solid smaller college player.

Josh Fretz is a 2007 C with a 6'0'', 175 lb. frame from Acworth GA, who attends East Paulding HS. He has a medium frame and solid athletic build. Fretz ran the 60 in 7.31 and threw 66 mph during catching drills with a best pop time of 2.13. He has good lateral quickness behind the plate and a good exchange on his throws. Fretz hits from a spread stance with a pre-load approach to his back side that makes it difficult for him to use his body to generate bat speed. He does a good job of staying inside the ball and makes solid line drive contact to the right side of the field.
