Hanrahan is a 6-0, 185 lb catcher from Florida with a solid athletic build, especially in his lower half. He ran the 60 in 7.64 and threw 75 mph in catching drills with a best pop time of 1.92. Hanrahan also had an in game pop time of 2.10. Hanrahan hits from a tall stance with no stride and tends to drift forward in his swing. He does a good job of making contact and had three hits in the games but doesn’t take full advantage of his strength and power potential. He’s pretty good right now and there is plenty of room for improvement in the future with some adjustments. Hanrahan is an excellent student.

Casey Hanrahan is a 5'11" catcher from Florida in the Class of 2006 who looks like a strong prospect and a player who can improve in the future. While Hanrahan is only average sized, he shows above average hand strength with the wood bat in his hands. He stays behind and inside the ball very well and hits it hard, deep in the zone. He has a chance to be a good offensive player while playing a premium defensive position. Hanrahan’s defensive skills are solid, too. His release and balance behind the plate are very good and his throws are very accurate. He has good quickness and fluid actions. College coaches should definitely have their eyes on this young prospect for the future. Casey is a very good student.

Hanrahan is an "06" Catcher from Florida. At 5'10/165 he has lots of room and time to get bigger and stronger. He actually popped a 1.87 in the game and showed outstanding (for a soph) 75 mph velocity on his throws to 2B. One of the hardest catchers to run on in this event with his quick release and strong arm. Showed good receiving ability with quick feet and good hands. At the plate he showed a good approach and a quick path to the ball. Displayed hand strength and bat speed. He could loosen up a bit in the lower half and he'd be even better. Definitely a good "06" catcher to keep a close eye on.
