FB is soft but cuts/runs to corners. CB is good pitch, sharp 2 plane break, will overmatch weak hitters. Threw very quick, very effective innings.

Justin Williams is a 2009 LHP/OF from The Hotchkiss School in Connecticut and resides in Fort Myers, FL with a 5'8", 135 lb. frame. Justin has a lean athletic build with a lot of room to fill out. On the mound Justin throws from a 3/4 arm slot with some arm speed. He showed a solid change-up and good command of his pitches. Justin is a max effort pitcher that has a good feel for how to pitch and works very quick on the mound. At the plate Justin is a contact hitter that can spray the ball some. In the outfield he projects best in left field where he showed a solid all-around tool set. At this point Justin will be a player that attracts the attention of many smaller-level colleges.

Justin Williams is a 2009 LHP/OF from The Hotchkiss School (CT) who lives in Ft Myers, FL, with a 5'7'', 135 lb. frame. He has a small, slender build and hasn't started to fill out yet. Williams throws from a slow and deliberate delivery with good balance over the rubber. He hides the ball well, which gives him some deception to the hitters. His overall pitching mechanics are solid and enables him to locate his pitches well and maintain consistency. Williams best pitch is a 65 mph curveball that has good downer break and nice velocity. Williams high 3/4's release point gives him a good downward angle to the plate on this pitch. Williams fastball topped out at 71 mph, which isn't much of a gap between his fastball velocity and his curveball velocity and gives a good indication that he will be picking up FB velo in the near future. We didn't see a change up but Williams' indicates that he does throw one. Williams is a very good student who already has his eyes on some of the top academic schools in the country. His curveball, sound pitching mechanics and promise of maturity to come make him a young pitcher worth keeping an eye on.
