Bruce Cameron: Cameron is a Division 1 quality athlete with some very good baseball skills. He comes from a quality baseball program in Houston and has obviously had good coaching and plenty of repetitions. He profiles better at second base right now but made some nice defensive plays at SS during the showcase games and has good, controlled fielding actions. Cameron’s best tool might be his bat. He’s looking to hit the ball hard and generates some bat speed with some gap to gap power. Cameron looks like he’s guessing fastball all the way and will reach for breaking balls but he stays inside the hard stuff well and drives the ball. He also showed some raw arm strength from the mound, topping out at 84 mph with a hard breaking curveball.

Cameron is an infielder who plays the game with ease. In fact, he threw the ball almost too easy to show true SS ability. He was clocked at 78 mph and never let one go hard enough to test the arm from the SS hole. He did show it very well at 2B, his arm is very loose and attractive. He showed nice range and excellent actions there too. He's a good baserunner with close to MLB average speed (7 flat). His bat showed some power potential and his swing was short and simple. He even got on the hill and finally showed the arm with 81-84 mph velocity and 2 other hard off-speed pitches. He had a good 70 mph curve and a 71-74 mph change. He is a game player and competed to the last out. Could be a big sleeper and at 5'11/160 he's going to get bigger and stronger..
