Calvin Kirchoff is a 2020 3B/RHP with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Sammamish, WA who attends Eastlake HS. Outstanding athletic build for his age, long and lean and very projectable. Athletic actions on defense, stays balanced well with very soft hands, arm action is loose and easy and throws have some young carry. Right handed hitter, big stride into contact, could probably benefit from hitting taller, stays balanced, loose hard swing with mid field line drive contact. Also pitched, uses hips well, to get turned, good direction to the plate and gets over his front side. Fastball topped out at 77 mph, short slider with some spin, developing change up. Interesting young athlete. Very good student.
