Nick Brown is a 2008 RHP/OF/3B with a 6'3'', 225 lb. frame from Warrenville, IL who attends Wheaton Warrenville South HS. He has a large framed, thick build with very good present strength. Brown will have to keep working hard to keep his body under control in the future. He is a surprisingly good runner for his size and build at 6.93. Brown has a well paced delivery and uses his strong lower half well to generate power to the plate. His fastball was consistently 88-89 mph and touched 90. Brown's fastball has some life and he showed that he liked pitching inside with it. Brown's upper 70's slider had good depth to it and a nice 2-plane break. He also had good arm speed and occasional hard sinking action on a mid 70's change up. Brown isn't especially projectable but he has a nice three pitch arsenal and the ability to use it. Brown showed some real power at the plate with an all or nothing approach as a hitter. He is a good student.

Nick Brown is a 2008 RHP/3B from Wheaton Warrenville South High School in Warrenville, IL, with a 6'3'', 190 lb. frame. Was named to the Top Prospect Team at the event. Brown is a lean, and projectable pitcher with a good pitcher's body. He throws from a 3/4 arm slot with good arm speed and a balanced online delivery. His fastball topped out at 84 mph with occasional arm side life, and he has the potential to be a 90 mph pitcher in the future. Brown also mixes in a solid curveball with depth at 69 mph, and a changeup at 68 mph. He has good tempo on the mound, and has great projection with a high ceiling. Defensively he uses his loose and easy arm to throw 87 mph with good online carry and accuracy. He moves well to the ball showing athleticism and instincts. At the plate he is a right handed hitter with power potential, and he has good bat speed through the zone. Brown hits through the ball making solid contact. He has two-way potential, and is an excellent student as well.
