Marco Latella is a 2015 SS with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Westport, CT who attends Staples. Large, athletic frame with present strength and a projectable build and room to fill out. Ran a 7.09 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, moves well on feet to the ball, fields well out front while showing nice actions, throws from a lower slot across the diamond with arm strength that will continue to develop. Right-handed hitter, starts with an upright stance and a low hand set. Wrapped start, uses a leg lift trigger for timing, shows bat speed and quick hands through the zone, line drive swing path, keeps hands in on swing and shows a strong feel to hit to the middle of the field. Very good student.
