Tyson Quolas is a 2014 OF/LHP with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Oxnard, CA who attends Oaks Christian HS. Medium frame with good present strength. Left handed hitter, aggressive swing, really moves into contact and uses his lower half well, generates very good bat speed, looks to pull and lift the ball, consistent hard contact, stays short to the ball with fluid loose extension out front, very sound and effective hitting fundamentals. 7.31 runner, polished outfield footwork and mechanics, good arm strength, clean arm action. Also pitched, long deep arm action from a high leg kick delivery, fastball topped out at 82 mph, good spin on a big breaking 1/7 curveball, flashed a pretty decent knuckleball. Solid all around prospect. Good student.
