Hunter Parkinson is a 2014 LHP with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Aptos, CA who attends Soquel HS. Medium build, some present strength. Standard leg raise delivery, slow pace, high 3/4's slot, some effort on release, throws much better from the stretch than from the wind up. Mid 80's fastball, topped out at 88 mph, gets nice late sink/run on fastball when down in the zone. Nice arm speed and running action on change up, tends to cast curveball, soft spin at present but can improve with adjustments. Strong bodied southpaw with a good arm and some developing feel, should continue to improve. Good student.
