Daniel is a solid catcher from Arkansas who showed a quick bat and better than average foot-speed for a catcher. He has a good catchers build that projects to get stronger while maintaining quick actions. He popped routinely between 2.10 and 2.20 topping out at 76 mph with a pop time of 2.09 at the bag. He ran an impressive 6.72 in the 60 and ran the bases well too. His swing showed an uppercut plane as he stayed inside the ball and used the opposite field well. In fact, he drove the opposite field gap regularly with a short swing. He did step out, pulling off the ball and should be able to drive the ball harder to the opposite field gap if he keeps his front side in more often.
