Jake Bauman is a 2015 RHP/OF with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Torrey Pines. Bauman has a medium sized frame with a strong athletic build. He pitches with a 3/4 arm slot with a shorter arm action. Bauman pitches with some effort and can get better finish out front. He gets arm side run on his fastball and showed control. Bauman also throws an 11/5 curve ball with tight spin and some bite to it. It's a projectable pitch with a few mechanical adjustments to delivery. Bauman has solid footwork in the outfield with some arm strength and carry. At the plate, he starts with a slightly open stance with high hands away from his body. He has a sweeping swing with developing bat speed. Very good student.
