Left handed hitter, nice balanced swing, stays behind the ball well, has present bat speed, nice lift and extension out front, shows his power, looks to pull and will fly open/reach on occasion, squares the ball up consistently, lots of high level hitting tools. 7.50 runner, gets low in his defensive set and shows athleticism, has one-spot quickness, plenty enough arm strength, 1.91 best pop time, tools to improve his exchange/footwork fundamentals. He has good footwork behind the plate defensively and gains ground on his pop throws. Lucas has good transfers and quick hands. He shows good catch and throw tools that project and makes accurate throws. At the plate, he starts with a slightly open stance and maintains balance through his swing. Lucas has quick hands and generates bat speed. He is aggressive to the baseball and has a simple swing. Lucas has projectable hitting tools and is an interesting player. Good student.
