Alvarez is an "04" RHP with a strong stocky build. At 5'10/180 he threw his fastball in the upper 70 mph range with a 68 mph curve ball. His curveball was pretty good (12-6) downer and looked like his best pitch. He showed pitching knowledge and had good command of both the fastball and curve. He should be able to contribute in the right college program. Bobby is a good student.
