Bergin is a 5-8, 150 lb sophomore middle infielder from Texas. He ran the 60 in 7.56 and showed nice arm strength in the field at 80 mph. Bergin's defensive actions seem best suited for third base if he grows some and gets stronger. Bergin hits from a balanced approach at the plate with a contact line drive swing. He lacks physical strength right now but was able to make consistent contact with the wood bat and is probably a high contact, high average hitter with metal in his hands. His overall game will keep improving with additional strength. Bergin is also an excellent student.

Trevor Bergin is a 2008 middle infielder/third baseman from Boerne, TX, with a stocky athletic build at 5-8 150 lbs. Defensively, he showed a short quick arm with decent arm strength that produced accurate online throws at 79 mph. He showed a solid glove with decent actions and he will gain better control of his body as he matures. He hits from a square stance with a short compact swing. His bat followed a line drive path and he showed good bat speed with strength in his swing. As he matures he will continue to improve with the bat. He has a lot to work with already and added strength will allow him to hit with gap to home run power. He is a young player with present skills and he is a good prospect to follow over the next couple of years. Trevor is an excellent student.

Trevor Bergin is a very young 2008 switch hitting middle infielder from Portland, Texas. He has some nice actions and polish to his game considering his age. Bergin’s feet work very well on defense, and he showed excellent arm strength for a freshman, although with a somewhat long release. Bergin shows good hitting skills from both sides of the plate with different approaches. From the right side, he has a full weight shift in his load which affects his balance, but he does a good job staying inside the ball and making solid contact. His swing from the left side has better balance and smoothness to it. Bergin looks like a young player with some very good skills who should continue to improve. Trevor is a very strong student.
