Riley Smith is a 2013 RHP/1B with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Lufkin, TX who attends Hudson HS. Medium slender build. Loose easy arm action, low 3/4's release, good lower half use, stays back and balanced well, repeats delivery. Fastball to 84 mph, good arm side run at times, sweeping 72 mph curveball has good depth, nice feel for 74 mph change up. Around the zone with all pitches and attacks hitter, fields his position well. Good overall present package on the mound and should continue to improve. Right handed hitter, jumps to front side early, hits out front, soft line drive contact. Very good student.
