Derick Capetillo is a 2012 RHP with a 6-0 200 lb. frame from Maracaibo, VZ who attends U.E. Cabimas HS. Mature build with very good present strength. Exaggerated hip turn delivery, drop and drive to the plate, long stride, gets out front and arm tends to rush to catch up. Mid 80's fastball, topped at 87 mph, mostly straight, primary fastball pitcher. Slider has some shape and depth but rarely thrown, good sink on change up. Showed better hitting tools, long aggressive swing with very good raw bat speed, pulls and lifts, gets loose extension out front, ball jumps hard.
