Jacob Turner is a 2013 RHP with a 6-3 210 lb. frame from O'Fallon, IL who attends O'Fallon Township HS. Big strong slope shouldered build. Slow paced low effort delivery with pause at the top, 3/4's to mid 3/4's arm slot, clean arm circle, lands 6" cross body with closed front foot, needs adjustments. Steady upper 70's fastball, throws both 2 seam/4 seam fastballs, good sink/run arm side with 2 seamer. Curveball has good depth and shape, rare slider but flashed quality spin, tends to slow arm on change up. Around the zone but trouble getting ball to glove side. Should improve immediately with delivery adjustments. Right handed hitter, loose rotational swing, shows some power on his pitch, flashes bat speed, good hands at contact.
