Justin Thaxton is a 2014 SS with a 6-0 178 lb. frame from Aurora, CO who attends Regis Jesuit HS. Solid athletic build, good present strength. Left handed hitter, very complicated load with big leg lift and bat wrap, big stride into contact, uses his lower half well in generating bat speed, hits the ball out front, ball comes off the barrel hard, good bat speed, has power and can drive the ball, lots of hitting tools, will have to simplify load and movement for more consistent contact. 7.34 runner, moves well on defense, short quick release on throws, fields the ball out front, second base arm strength and overall actions. Bat has a chance to develop. Good student.

Justin Thaxton is a 2014 SS with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Las Animas, CO who attends Las Animas HS. Medium athletic build. Sure handed at SS. Stays back on ball, footwork is solid to both sides. Two handed fielder, short arm action. Left-handed hitter. Good swing plane with loose actions. Solid balance, smooth swing with line drive approach. Good contact skills to all fields. Direct path to ball, ball comes off the barrel well. Good present tools. More to come as body gains additional strength. Very good student. Named to Top Prospect Team.
