Alton Savoye is a 2014 RHP/1B with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Highland Falls, NY who attends Archbishop Stepinac HS. Medium build, good lower half strength. Back turn delivery, stays on line and repeats mechanics well, compact quick arm action, high 3/4's to over the top slot, some effort on release. Fastball to 81 mph, mostly straight, occ late running life when low. Curveball best pitch, hard late biting action, tight spin and downer shape, change up flashed plus movement, tends to slow arm action at times. Mixes it up and keeps hitters off balance, works down in the zone well. Right handed hitter, nice balanced set up, steps out on swing and doesn't get to front side, some flashes of bat speed. Good student.
