Ben Lowe is a 2014 RHP/3B/C with a 6-0 200 lb. frame from Memphis, TN who attends Evangelical Christian School. Strong well proportioned build. Two-way prospect. Hand drop delivery, long extended arm action, 3/4's release slot, low effort on line release. Steady low 80's fastball, topped out at 83 mph, maintained velocity into 4th inning, good arm side run at times. Big breaking 12/6 downer curveball, good spin, some feel for his change up. Pounds the strike zone and works ahead. Right handed hitter, big bat speed, strong aggressive swing with quick hands, ball jumps hard, pulls and creates top spin, short to the ball for his power, has some lift in his swing path. Playable third base tools, soft hands, long extended arm action and release. Hitting tool stands out at present.
