Nick Hedge is a 2012 LHP/ with a 6-2 205 lb. frame from Winnetka, IL who attends New Trier. Big framed left handed pitching prospect who also showed some ability with the bat. Low-Mid 80s fastball (up to 84) from a deceptive low 3/4 arm slot. Showed a good three pitch mix, combined fastball with a curveball and changeup that each topped out at 73. Showed good control, filling up the strike zone and pitching efficiently. Swing is a bit raw but has tools to develop into two-way prospect at next level if he can find a home defensively. Strength in swing, good extension, drives through ball well, has raw bat speed, aggressive baserunner. Very good student.
