Sean Rigney is a 2006 left handed pitcher from Lititz, PA. He has a solid 6'0", 188 pound frame, and was named to the Underclass Top Prospect Team. He has controlled, solid mechanics, and throws from a ¾ arm slot. Rigney also uses his legs and lower body extremely well. His fastball was consistently 83 mph, and he wasn’t afraid to challenge hitters with it. His curveball had tight break, topping out at 70 mph with good 11-5 tilt and excellent control. His changeup had good movement, and good location at 72 mph. Offensively, he has an easy, effortless, and controlled swing with good gap to gap power, and a good understanding of the strike zone. Sean is a very interesting prospect and a good student.

Sean is an "06" LHP/OF from PA. He already has a strong pro-type body. He didn't hit, but showed excellent throwing ability and actions defensively. On the mound he threw around 80 mph with nice running life. His breaking ball could be thrown with more velocity but it looks very promising. It looked like he used a splitty for the change of speeds and it's a good one. He's going to throw much harder down the road and could become a big time prospect. Keep a close eye on this young guy.

Sean Rigney -- Rigney is a 5-11 sophomore left handed pitcher from Pennsylvania. He showed us some arm strength for a youngster, topping out at 81 mph on his fastball with good leverage to the plate. Rigney’s best pitch was a 64-65 mph curveball that had good depth and rotation to it. He also threw a 68-70 mph change up. This southpaw has some natural talent and three workable pitches. If he gets serious about his overall conditioning, Rigney could make significant advances over the next few years. He also does a pretty good job of swinging the bat, especially on pitches down in the zone.
