Scott Gussaroff is a 2006 right handed pitcher from Lloyd Harbor, NY with a slender build at 6-2, 180 lbs. He has a smooth, easy arm action and a low effort delivery until release. Gussaroff's fastball was in the 84-86 mph range with some arm side run. He threw both a curveball at 67 mph and a slider at 75 mph and showed good feel and command for both pitches. His curveball has a big, sweeping 11-5 break that's going to get hitters leaning and out front consistently. Gussaroff also threw a couple of 70 mph change ups. His raw stuff will improve with a better finish on his release, he tends to dip down and throw up hill. When he works through this to get a better angle to home plate and starts getting stronger, he's going to take a big step forward. Gussaroff already has 4 solid pitches and an idea how to use them. He's a very good student as well.

Scott Gussaroff is a 2006 RHP from Lloyd Harbor, New York. At 6'1", 170 lbs., he has a good, projectable frame. His mechanics are very sound for a young pitcher. His stride to the plate is a bit long, and he needs to improve his hand speed out of the glove, but these flaws are easily correctable. Gussaroff throws from a ¾ arm slot, and projects to throw harder in the future. He has a confident demeanor, and showed solid arm speed. Gussaroff's fastball was consistently 83 mph with some natural movement. His curveball was a little slow at 68 mph with an 11/8 break, but the rotation was tight and it showed good depth. His change up was consistently 71 mph with good movement and fade, and had good arm speed through the pitch. Overall, Gussaroff is going to be a solid college pitcher. He will be a solid follow for next year.
