Jordan Valdez is a 2013 3B/RHP with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from La Mirada, CA who attends St Paul HS. Lean and wiry athletic build, good present strength. 7.58 runner, good first step quickness at third base, has some body life, good footwork, good hands and exchange, arm works well. Right handed hitter, busy hand load, swings hard, has some strength in his swing, some gap power, patient and will take pitches, will improve with a simpler approach, has some hitting tools. Also pitched, good temp to his delivery, high 3/4's release, pounds the strike zone and works quickly. Fastball topped at 82 mph, downer curveball with good spin he could throw more often.
