John Castro is a 2015 1B/RHP with a 6-3 205 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Blessed Trinity HS. Tall, big frame, some present strength, projectable. Short rotational swing, short to the ball, slight uppercut path. Good bat speed, carry off the bat, occasional balance issues but usually good. Projectable power, drives the ball with authority already. Moves well defensively, good hands, throws carry. Pitches from three quarters arm slot, fastball up to 79. Interesting prospect to follow, potential power bat.
