Ryan is a live bodied junior outfielder from Riverside, California. He has good present strength for his size that he uses very well at the plate. Ryan starts with still hands but generates very good bat speed with an aggressive pull-type approach. He really smacked some hard line drives for us and showed us the potential to be a good college level type of hitter. Ryan is a very fast runner (6.73) who will cause some havoc on the bases and be able to stretch his hits to extra bases. Defensively, Ryan has the obvious speed to be a good defender and enough arm strength to keep runners honest. He was a little tentative with some of his routes in the outfield but he's young and can work through that in the future. Ryan is a good student who will get plenty of attention from the college recruiters.

Knox was one of our All-Prospect team outfielders and we like his tools and approach to the game. He’s a hustler who is very aggressive at the plate and shows no fear of any type of pitch. Knox starts with his hands high and quiet and attacks the ball with good hand strength and the ball jumps off his bat to all fields. Defensively, he plays faster than his 7.16 speed and has close to an average MLB throwing arm right now. Knox is a very young 2006 player and he’s going to keep getting better as he gets bigger and stronger. He projects to get much bigger and stronger and he's a very good "06" prospect.
