Patrick Huls is a 2006 OF/3B from Temple City HS, residing in Temple City, CA, with a 6'0", 190 lb. frame. Huls has a strong and stocky build. He hits from a square stance and moves decisively to the load position. Huls hits with a no-stride approach, allowing him to let the ball travel and to hit to all fields. He makes consistent barrel contact and drives the ball in the middle of the field. He has present gap power and has a chance to develop a bit more. On the defensive side of the game Huls has good lateral agility at 3B and enough arm for the long throws. From the outfield he makes low arc throws. Huls played better in the games than his tools graded in the workout, indicating that he rises to the level of the game. On the bases he showed some baserunning instincts. Huls has the potential to hit in the middle of a college line-up someday while playing a corner position.

Patrick Huls is a 2006 right handed pitcher/third baseman from Temple City, CA, with a 6'1", 170 lb. frame. Huls allowed only 1 run during his three innings of work while striking out three. He throws from an over the top arm slot, and changed speeds well with his three pitch mix. His fastball topped out at 78 mph with some late life, and he showed good arm speed on his change up at 67 mph. Huls also used a big 12 to 6 curveball with good depth at 61 mph that he threw for strikes. At the plate he is a right handed hitter with a crouched stance with his lower half, but an erect upper body. Huls showed good bat speed with the ability to hit the ball well to the opposite field. He is a patient hitter with a good knowledge of the strike zone. There is room for Huls to add strength to his frame, and he is a very good student.

Patrick Huls is a 2006 right handed pitcher/third baseman from Temple City, California with a lean build at 6 ft. 0 160 pounds. He pitches from a 3/4 slot with a short arm action and a somewhat mechanical delivery. He has long legs and stays tall throughout the delivery, with a slight cross over on the landing. He showed decent run on his 75 mph fastball, has a sharp biting 11-5 curveball at 66 mph but did not show a change. He has good command of both pitches and can hit his spots. Huls hits from an average base with nice weight shift into contact. He has quick hands and showed good bat speed with a level swing. He has good pitch recognition, and can go to the opposite field with consistency. Patrick is a very good student.

Patrick is a 6-0 right handed junior pitcher from Southern California. He throws from a high 3/4's release point and gets some tailing action on a 75-78 mph fastball. He showed some feel for the stike zone with his fastball and pitched aggressively with it. Patrick also threw a 66-68 mph curveball and a 69 mph split finger change up. More fluidity in his delivery would help his overall stuff and command. He shows very good hitting ability. Patrick is a very good student.
