Austin Yager is a 6'1" 150 pound 2008 outfielder and third baseman from American Heritage High School in Davie, Florida. He has a slender build with good athleticism. Austin showed good hitting tools at the plate. He has busy hands but generates good bat speed and is short to the ball. He stays back well and makes solid line drive contact to all fields. Yager has smooth hands in the field and has a quick release on his throws. He runs well which he showed by running a 7.22 in the 60 and plays hard at all times. Austin is a good follow who should continue to improve.
