Nick DiMauro is a 2006 middle infielder from Boca Raton, FL with a short lean build at 5-10, 160 lbs. He ran the 60 in 7.30 sec. and threw 80 mph during infield drills. DiMauro is a smooth actioned fielder who can really play defense. He has very soft hands and a quick release and showed the ability to make the spectacular play as well as the routine play. DiMauro profiles best at second base due to his quick hands and release. Offensively, DiMauro has a contact style approach and uses the whole field. He keeps his hands back well on off speed pitches and makes consistent solid contact. More physical strength will help his overall game. Overall, DiMauro is a ball player type who is going to maximize his physical skills and play at a high level. He's also a very good student off the field.

Nick DiMauro is a 2006 middle infielder from Florida with athletic ability and some physical projection, but with excellent baseball skills. He will probably be a second baseman at the college level and had some of the smoothest and most advanced footwork of any infielder in Fort Myers. His arm is probably his best raw physical tool and he has a very quick and sure transfer and release. DiMauro’s skill level showed through at the plate, too. He has a quick, fundamentally sound swing and hits through the ball. He’s listed as a switch-hitter but hit only right handed at the Showcase. DiMauro centered the ball on virtually every swing during batting practice and laced a couple of game hits as well. DiMauro tends to get out front a bit early, but as he gets stronger he’d develop the confidence to stay back on the ball. This is a good young infielder who will be a high performance player on the field.
