Closed stance, long and strong swing, uppercut swing plane, some extension, power to the opposite field, strength in his swing but will need to shorten up. 7.37 runner, extended arm action, big crow hop, left field type tools. Also pitched, compact arm action, throws downhill, fastball to 84 mph, occasional cutting action, curveball flashes hard downer bite at times, inconsistent release point but has potential on the mound. Good student.

Austin Meyer is a 2011 RHP/OF with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Bethlehem, GA who attends Winder-Barrow HS. Solid athletic frame, good present strength. Sound pitched mechanics, clean arm circle, bit cross body on release, over the top release point. Steady mid 80's fastball, topped at 86 mph, mostly straight. Nice change up, good deception, hard curveball has consistent downer shape. Throws strikes with all pitches, mixes it up, was effective, good mound presence. Has some strength in his bat hitting, tends to pull off on contact, ball comes off the barrel hard. Good student.
