Matthew Heller -- Heller is a live bodied infielder with surprising strength for his size. He wasn’t able to participate in the workout portion of the showcase so we don’t have running times or extensive fielding notes on him but we do know that he can hit. Heller generates very good torque and bat speed from a simple base with a little leg lift as a trigger. He was a very aggressive hitter during games and made early count hard contact virtually every time up, including a couple of well hit doubles up gaps. College coaches should definitely take a good look at him. Heller is also a very good student.

Well schooled "05" infielder. He should improve a lot over the next few years. Nice quiet hitting approach, good balance and nice swing. He can and will hit! Good arm strength across the INF. He needs to improve his foot work. Very good "05" follow. He's going to be good.

Heller is a young "05" infielder who is fairly small right now. He has a nice arm and good actions. It will be interesting to see how he develops over the next few years.
