Lawson Vassar is a 2013 RHP/3B with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Little Rock, AR who attends Pulaski Academy. Solid athletic build, some present strength, projects well physically. Mulit-part delivery, long loose extended arm action, high 3/4's arm slot, stays on line, long stride out front, repeats complicated delivery well and throws strikes. Upper 80's fastball, topped out at 89 mph, very nice sink and run on fastball,, consistent 2-seam action. Gets some action on change up, potential plus change up, good arm speed, commands it low in zone, curvveball solid third pitch with good spin and depth. Good feel and life on three pitches, throws strikes and knows how to pitch. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Arkansas.

Full delivery with deep arm circle and big hip turn, extended 3/4's arm slot, medium effort on release. Steady 86-88 mph fastball, works FB down in zone with some run and sink. Curveball has hard spin and good 11/5 shape, hard downer bite at times. Change shows quality sinking action, good arm speed. Can get all pitches to glove side more frequently. Mixes it up and has an idea how to pitch, will continue to improve with better consistency. Outstanding student. Verbal commitment to Arkansas.

Lawson Vassar is a 2013 RHP/3B with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Little Rock, AR who attends Pulaski Academy. Lean athletic build, projects well. Slow paced rotational delivery, some effort at release, 3/4's slinging arm slot, comes over the ball at release. Mid 80's fastball, good sinking action at times, needs to get fastball down at the bottom of the zone more consistently. Nice change up with big sink at times. Slurve type breaking ball, flat shape, hard to spin ball from his release point. Should gain more velo with added strength, has future as sinker ball pitcher. Excellent student.
