Timothy Brock is a 2011 3B/P/OF with a 5'8'', 152 lb. frame from Chesapeake, VA who attends Oscar Smith. Timothy has a lean athletic build with a good amount of room to fill out. At the plate he is a switch-hitter that looks more comfortable from the right side. He shows a level line-drive swing plane and makes consistent solid contact. Timothy tends to get a little long and needs to shorten up some and gets his whole body involved in his swing. In the outfield Timothy is good to the ball with solid footwork and light feet. In the infield he has solid actions and best projects at second base. His arm strength is limited right now and he will need to improve to enhance his options in the field. On the mound Timothy throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with a short arm action. He gets some life on his fastball and makes hitters put the ball in play. Timothy is a solid student with a great attitude that should attract the attention of many smaller colleges in a few years.
