Alex Lakatos is a 2010 RHP with a 6'3'', 200 lb. frame from Grand Rapids, MI who attends Forest Hills Central HS. Athletic build, well proportioned. Unusual half stretch delivery, cross body, fast paced leg raise, hides ball well in back. OH release on 89-90 mph FB, lowers slot on SL/CB, tips hitters, should lower FB release as well. SL is big, sharp and hard, nasty bite at times, lots of weak swings on SL. CB is mostly show me pitch, flashes good spin. Good athlete, runs 6.87, shows strength/bat speed at the plate. Could be a sleeper for next year's draft. Very good student.
